Police are hunting thieves who stole a quad bike from a farm shed on Coolabunia Road and later dumped it in a quarry.

The theft is believed to have occurred last Friday night (December 11).

The thieves cut a fence to enter the property.

An impact wrench was also stolen from the shed.

Kingaroy Police received reports in the early hours of Sunday that a drunken woman was walking up Tessmann’s Road.

Police located a 28-year-old Nanango woman about 1:00am.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said investigations revealed the woman was the driver of a Mitsubishi sedan that had crashed into a fence on Kingaroy-Barkers Creek road earlier in the night.

The woman allegedly blew 0.163 BAC at a roadside breath test.

She will face a drink-driving charge in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 11.  She was also immediately disqualified from driving.

  • Two Kingaroy men, aged 28 and 21, will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 4 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils after police allegedly found a small amount of cannabis when they searched a home in Frangipani Drive, Kingaroy, on December 11.
  • A 33-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 4 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils after police located a small quantity of cannabis leaf and oil and drug utensils during a search in Frangipani Drive, Kingaroy, on December 11.
  • A 41-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with unlawful possession of controlled medication (Viagra) after police searched a Peugeot sedan in William Street on December 14. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 11.
  • A 20-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 4 charged with possessing drug utensils after police searched an address in William Street, Kingaroy, on December 15.

Traffic

  • A 21-year-old Tingoora man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 11 charged with drug driving after police pulled over his Ford ute in First Avenue, Kingaroy, at 3:20pm on December 11.
  • A 33-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 11 charged with drug driving after police stopped her Toyota SUV in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, at 6:40pm on December 12.

Property

  • A rock was thrown through the passenger window of a Mazda ute parked near the intersection of Haly and King streets, Kingaroy, on Sunday night. Police investigations are continuing.
  • A 14-year-old Kingaroy boy has been dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act after damage occurred on Tuesday night to a number of businesses in Alford Street, Kingaroy, and decorations were stolen from the town’s Christmas tree.
