Seven people will face drug-driving charges after recent operations by the Kingaroy and Dalby Road Policing Units on South Burnett roads.
On December 1, a 23-year-old Goomeri man – on an L-plate – was intercepted on Lamb Street, Murgon. The learner driver’s supervisor, a 32-year-old Goomeri woman sitting in the passenger seat, was also tested. Both will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 5.
Also on December 1, police stopped a 25-year-old Tiaro man travelling on Gore Street, Murgon. He was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on January 12.
The man was also issued with a 24-hour licence suspension after police allegedly intercepted him driving on Haly Street, Kingaroy, later that afternoon. He will face a charge of driving while under a 24 hour suspension in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on December 14.
Later that evening, police stopped a 24-year-old Deception Bay woman driving on Gore Street, Murgon. She will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 2.
On December 2 – in separate incidents – police tested a 41-year-old Kingaroy man, and later a 48-year-old Cherbourg man, both driving on the Bunya Highway at Murgon. They are due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 12.
On December 3, police intercepted a 45-year-old Runnymede woman on Somerset Street, Kingaroy. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 11.
