Police have charged a man with drug and firearm offences following a traffic intercept in Murgon on October 31.
Police will allege that they intercepted the man on the Bunya Highway, Murgon, following reports the man had been involved in a single vehicle traffic crash at Ficks Crossing earlier in the day.
Police detained the man for a blood sample.
During a search of the vehicle, they allegedly located a loaded handgun, $15,000 in cash and a small quantity of methylamphetamine (ice).
A 30-year-old Coringa man will appear at Murgon Magistrates Court on December 8 charged with seven offences, including driving under the influence, possessing dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of a firearm.
