A toddler was airlifted to hospital on Saturday night after falling into a fire at a camping ground near Imbil.

The young girl suffered burns to her arms and legs.

An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew to a campground, off Yabba Creek Road, shortly after 7:00pm.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the young girl fell backwards into the fire, but was quickly pulled out.

QAS paramedics were first on scene and treated the toddler for minor burns to the back of her arm and legs.

She was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition, accompanied by her mother.
