A 20-year-old Murgon man was lucky to escape serious injury after his car was washed off Aerodrome Road at Taabinga on Wednesday night.
The Subaru Liberty was swept off the road into a nearby creek about 10:35pm.
The roadway was flooded after storms earlier in the evening.
The man managed to extricate himself from the vehicle before emergency services arrived.
Paramedics transported him to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with lacerations.
