A medical incident may have led to a fatal single-vehicle crash on the Burnett Highway at Wyalla on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash site, near Schumacher Gap Road, at 8:47am.
A QAS spokesperson said paramedics treated a man at the scene who was in a critical condition.
They believe he may have suffered a medical incident prior to the crash.
It is not known if there were other occupants of the vehicle, which left the highway and hit a ditch.
A police spokesperson said the circumstances of the crash were still being investigated.
