A large grass fire burning near Farr Court at Wattle Camp was creating a lot of smoke for nearby residents on Monday afternoon.
At 5:00pm, there were 17 fire units at the blaze, which broke out about 3:30pm.
At 5:15pm, QFES issued a notification about the fire.
“This fire is posing no threat to property at this time but is producing a lot of smoke,” a spokesperson said.
“Residents should keep windows and doors closed and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.
“Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.”
UPDATE: At 6:00pm there were five fire crews at the incident.
