A man was killed in a single-vehicle traffic crash south of Goomeri on Saturday afternoon.
Initial investigations indicate about 1:35pm an SUV was travelling northbound on the Burnett Highway when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver, a 30-year-old Ipswich man, died at the scene.
Three children travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A primary school-aged girl was flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital by a rescue helicopter in a serious condition with pelvic and abdominal injuries.
Two younger girls were also flown to the Queensland Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
