Trying to beat the lights has cost a Kingaroy man a trip to court and probably the loss of his licence.

The Kingaroy Road Policing Unit pulled over the 35-year-old after they spotted him racing through an orange light in Alford Street, Kingaroy.

The man allegedly blew 0.057 BAC when breath-tested.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 12 charged with drink-driving.

A 52-year-old Coverty man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on October 20 charged with drug-driving after police pulled over his vehicle on the Bunya Highway at Murgon.
