Murgon detectives have charged a 23-year-old woman following the alleged assault of 25-year-old woman in Cherbourg on Sunday.
Police will allege that about 1:00am the two women, who are known to each other, became involved in an altercation during which the 23-year-old woman struck the older woman multiple times on the head with a bottle.
The woman required medical assistance in relation to her injuries.
The 23-year-old has been charged assault occasioning bodily harm and will appear in Cherbourg Magistrates Court on September 9.
