Farmers in the Booie area were startled on Saturday afternoon when a glider landed in a paddock just off Booie-Crawford Road.
An eyewitness told southburnett.com.au she was concerned the plane could have clipped powerlines as it came in for the unexpected landing.
However, a spokesperson for the Kingaroy Soaring Club said it had been a normal weekend and there had been nothing to worry about.
“It is standard operating procedure to land in a paddock if they can’t get back (to the airport),” Greg Schmidt said.
“We go out and pick them up. I think we had two this weekend.
“It happens most weekends. There’s no problem.”
