A woman had to be cut free from her vehicle after a serious collision on the Brisbane Valley Highway on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash, at the intersection of Glamorgan Vale Road at Wanora, blocked traffic on the highway for several hours.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 4:21pm.

A QAS spokesperson said four people were transported to hospital.

“A female child with no obvious injuries, a male child with back pain and a female with chest pain were all transported stable to Ipswich Hospital,” the spokesperson said.

“A female in her 30s was initially entrapped in the vehicle however with the assistance from QFES was freed.

“She sustained chest and lower limb injuries and was transported in a serious but stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital with Critical Care on board.”
