A man aged in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital after he was injured while chopping wood north-west of Kingaroy on Sunday afternoon.

LifeFlight’s Surat Gas Aeromedical Service helicopter was despatched about 1:00pm.

The chopper landed close to where the incident happened and the LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic joined QAS paramedics, who were already treating the man.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said man had reportedly been chopping timber to be used for firewood, when part of a tree he was cutting fell and hit him.

The patient was stabilised before being airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital with suspected spinal and other injuries.

A teenage boy was transported to Mundubbera Hospital in a stable condition after a motorcycle crash on a private property at Boondooma on Saturday.

Paramedics were called to the incident just before 3:00pm.

The teenager suffered a lower limb injury.

A man aged in his 60s was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after two vehicles collided at the intersection of the Bunya Highway and Chinchilla-Wondai Road at Tingoora on Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called at 10:42am.

Paramedics treated one person at the scene.
