Toowoomba Regional Council has launched the 2020 “Walks & Trails of Toowoomba Region” guide which showcases 78 local nature excursions.

The new booklet includes new park adventures and 20km more trails.

“The walks and trails included are graded for all fitness levels with options for the novice trekker through to the experienced outdoor enthusiasts,” Cr Tim McMahon said.

“Bushwalkers can explore the 160km-long Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, which is one of the longest trails in Australia stretching from the hills of Yarraman through to Wulkuraka near Ipswich.

“Alternately, if it is a more leisurely stroll you are looking for, the 270-metre long wheelchair friendly Sensory Walk at J E Duggan Park (at Rangeville) with braille signage might be more your style.

“The more active adventurers may wish to explore the new offerings at Mt Peel (at Drayton) with 7250 metres of single-track mount bike trails on offer.”

The guide can be found online at www.tr.qld.gov.au/walkingtrails

Limited hard copies are also available at TRC Customer Service Centres.
