A driver – apparently in a hurry to get back to work – has been fined $1245 after being clocked during 150km/h on the Burnett Highway.
Police from the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit pulled over the 33-year-old Victorian man on Sunday afternoon near Ban Ban Springs.
Senior Constable Jade Miller said the man told police he was driving to the mines for work.
As well as the fine, the driver also accumulated eight demerit points and will lose his licence for six months.
