South Burnett Regional Council employees now have a safer working environment thanks to the installation of a new dust extraction system at the Kingaroy Depot.

The system has been installed in Council’s materials laboratory which analyses concrete and soil samples across the region.

The lab’s customers include Transport and Main Roads, Stanwell Corporation and the Coopers Gap windfarm.

A Council spokesperson said after much technical investigation, Narangba-based Dust Collection Services was selected as the supplier.

The installation was funded through Round 3 of the State Government’s Works for Queensland program.
