A family escaped uninjured when fire ripped through their home in Kingaroy on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire trucks, police and ambulance paramedics rushed to the incident in Logan Road about 3:30pm.
The fire began at the front of the building but quickly enveloped the whole structure, gutting the interior of the house.
Fire crews used breathing apparatus while fighting the blaze.
A police spokesperson said the family was at home when the fire broke out but managed to get out unhurt.
At 5:30pm, the main blaze had been extinguished but smoke was still pouring from burning cardboard construction materials under the concrete slab.
Firefighters were using sledgehammers to break up the concrete to get to the remaining flames.
The cause of the fire was not suspicious.
