The official result in South Burnett Regional Council’s neck-and-neck election race in Division 6 is still not known.
The Electoral Commission of Queensland has not declared a result, despite the end of counting on Wednesday.
Sitting councillor Ros Heit told southburnett.com.au the final count showed her in the lead over challenger Scott “Hook” Henschen by six votes ie. 1522 to 1516.
However, she said it was too early to claim victory as a recount had been requested.
She did not know when the result for Division 6 would be finalised.
