Four people were injured – two seriously – after a vehicle left the road and hit a tree on Gayndah-Mundubbera Road early on Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash, at Deep Creek, at 2:53am.

The four were treated at the secen by QAS paramedics and then transported by ambulance to Gayndah Hospital.

Two patients – a teenaged boy and girl – were then transferred to an RACQ LifeFlight helicopter and flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the other two occupants of the vehicle did not require airlifting.
