Police are investigating an apparent road rage incident at Wooroolin last week during which a 57-year-old woman was assaulted.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney, said the woman was driving a Suzuki on the Bunya Highway about 10:50am on March 3.

It will be alleged the woman pulled her vehicle over after being tailgated by a white Holden Commodore.

“The male driver allegedly approached the woman’s vehicle and threatened to take her registration and also threatened the woman before slamming her car door on her arm,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.

“The unknown offender then drove off.”

The man is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, of thin build with brown hair, a goatee and moustache.

He was wearing a dark shirt and shorts.

A female police officer suffered minor injuries after allegedly being assaulted twice by a woman in Kingaroy on Friday.

At 11:30pm, police responded to a disturbance at a hotel in Haly Street after a woman was refused entry.

The woman was arrested due to her behaviour.

Police will allege that while being restrained, she struck a female police officer in the face.

The woman also allegedly punched the same female officer twice in the head while being placed in the watchhouse.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy woman has been charged with driving whilst under the influence of liquor, driving while suspended, committing a public nuisance offence and two counts of serious assault on police. She will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 3o.

Drugs

  • A 25-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with possessing dangerous drug and drug utensils after police searched a home in Frangipani Drive, Kingaroy, at 7:45am on March 3.
  • A 32-year-old Wooroolin woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 20 charged with possessing dangerous drug and drug utensils after police allegedly located amphetamine during a search of a home in Allens Road, Wooroolin, at 9:55am on March 3.
  • A 24-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with possessing a dangerous drug after police located him allegedly in possession of cannabis in Fisher Street, Kingaroy, at 10:30pm on March 6.
  • A 30-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with possessing a dangerous drug after police intercepted a Ford stationwagon on Burnett Street, Kingaroy, at 8.20pm on March 7. A search of the vehicle allegedly located amphetamine.

Traffic

  • A 72-year-old Burpengary man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 6 charged with drink-driving after police pulled over his Holden sedan in Harris Road, Kingaroy, at 9:00am on March 3. He returned a positive result to a roadside breath test (0.07 BAC).
  •  A 37-year-old Wattle Camp man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police stopped at Toyota sedan on Meiers Road, Kingaroy, at 12:45pm on March 4. Police will also seek the forfeiture of the vehicle.

Kingaroy Police responded to a variety of incidents between March 2-8 including drug, property and traffic-related offences. They attended six calls related to domestic violence, issued 45 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 112 roadside breath tests.
