Detectives have charged two people following an investigation into a missing child in Chinchilla.
Kaydence Mills was born in September 2014 but has not been seen since 2016.
Police began an investigation in November 2019 after relatives raised concerns.
Detectives dug up the backyard of a Chinchilla home in early December as part of the investigation.
A crime scene was declared on Sunday at the Chinchilla Weir.
Detectives overnight charged two people who were known to the girl.
A 40-year-old Chinchilla man and a 28-year-old Chinchilla woman were each charged with murder, interfering with a corpse and torture.
They were due to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on Monday.
