Thieves struck a house in Webster Street, Kingaroy, at the weekend.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said the break-in occurred overnight on Friday.

The thieves gained entry by jemmying open a rear security door.

They then made off with electrical goods.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 16 charged with possessing a knife in a public place after police spoke to him about 12:35pm on February 24.

Traffic 

  • A 31-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with unlicensed driving after police pulled over a Kia hatchback in Knight Street, Kingaroy, about 8:00pm on February 24.  Her vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days.
  • A 34-year-old Wilkesdale woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 16 charged with drink-driving (0.145 BAC) after police stopped her Holden sedan in Cowie Drive, Kingaroy, about 1:25am on February 25.
  • A 38-year-old Glan Devon man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 9 charged with drug-driving after police stopped his Toyota ute in Moonya Street, Kingaroy,  about 12:20pm on February 25.
  • A 42-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 9 charged with drug-driving after police stopped his Holden sedan in Kent Street, Kingaroy, about 3:00pm on February 26.
  • A 37-year-old Wattle Camp man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30 charged with driving an unregistered, uninsured vehicle with false plates after police stopped a Toyota sedan on the Bunya Highway about 10:00am on February 27.

Drugs

  • On February 25 at 12:15am, police intercepted a Holden sedan on Youngman Street, Kingaroy. Police allege the woman driving the vehicle was subject to a late night driving restriction. A search also allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and drug utensils. A 25-year-old Booie woman has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug, drug utensils and driving while restricted. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 30.
  • An 18-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 16 charged with drug possession after police allegedly located a small amount of cannabis on him in Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 5:15pm on February 29.

Kingaroy police responded to a variety of incidents between February 24 and March 1 including drug, property, good order, weapon and traffic-related offences. They also attended two calls related to domestic violence incidents and issued eight infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences.
