Toowoomba councillor Chris Tait has announced he will not be recontesting his position at the March local government elections.
Cr Tait, who chairs the Planning and Development Committee, is the second serving Toowoomba councillor to announce they will retire at the poll.
Cr Anne Glasheen said late last year she would not be restanding.
Cr Tait was elected to the TRC in 2012.
Prior to amalgamation, he was a councillor on Jondaryan Shire Council for nine years.

A third candidate has joined the race for Toowoomba Mayor.
Former council worker Douglas Doelle announced his intention to stand on Wednesday.
He will be competing against current mayor Paul Antonio and Lindy Eising, who has previously contested the position.
Ms Eising says she is standing for “the people, animals, native trees and the wildlife”.
