A pedestrian was transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition after being struck by a vehicle in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 3:11pm.

A 21-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with serious assault after a disturbance at a Kingaroy fast food restaurant in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called to McDonald’s in Youngman Street about 1:00am after complaints a 69-year-old man had been assaulted.

Police say that when they tried to arrest the alleged assailant, he fled the scene.

He was subsequently located and charged with serious assault and obstructing police.

A 20-year-old Yarraman was also given an infringement notice for committing a public nuisance offence ($391).

A 64-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with a public nuisance offence after police were called to Kingaroy Hospital at 5:30pm last Wednesday.

Police allege the man was abusing and threatening staff.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 24.

A 59-year-old Kingaroy man will face multiple charges after police were called to a disturbance at a Premier Drive address at 3:00pm on Friday.

Police allege the man had driven with another man to the address where they allegedly broke into the property and caused damage.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 10 charged with driving over the middle alcohol limit (0.106 BAC), disqualified driving, burglary and two counts of serious obstruction of police.

Drugs

  • A 38-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 10 charged with possessing cannabis and drug utensils after police searched an address at Lankowskis Road. Taabinga, at 1:30pm on January 21.
  • A 28-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 10 charged with possessing cannabis and drug utensils after police searched a house in Prince Street, Kingaroy, at 11:30am on January 23.
  • A 26-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 10 to face two charges of possessing dangerous drugs and three counts of possessing drug utensils after police executed a search warrant at a house in James Street, Kingaroy, at 12:40pm on January 23. Police allegedly located amphetamine and cannabis at the address.
  • A 35-year-old Wooroolin man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 10 charged with possessing drugs and drug utensils, and wilful damage to a police vehicle after police were called to a disturbance at an address in Cants Road, Wooroolin, on Sunday. Police allegedly located cannabis and drug utensils. They will alleged that when he was placed into the police vehicle, he became aggressive and tried to kick the glass out of the doors, damaging the door frames.

Traffic

  • A 44-year-old Murgon man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 2 charged with driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle after police stopped a Honda Hatchback on the Bunya Highway on January 26. The vehicle was also immobilised for seven days.

Property

  • Police are investigating the theft of keys from an unlocked Audi station wagon on Thursday night at a Haly Street, Kingaroy, address.

Kingaroy Police responded to a variety of incidents between January 20-26 including drug, property and traffic-related offences. They also attended 10 calls related to domestic violence, issued 31 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 204 roadside breath tests.
