Blackbutt digital artist Sam Blanch’s winning design will feature on this year Blackbutt Avocado Festival poster.
Sam’s design was unveiled on Sunday at the Blackbutt Australia Day celebrations.
Organising committee chairman Jeff Connor said the festival poster competition had attracted lots of attention.
“We are also pleased to say the winner is a local,” Jeff said.
The committee appreciated Sam’s design and composition.
Sam said he enjoyed drawing the curved outline of the avocado and how they look grouped together, intact or cut in half.
Jeff said planning had already begun for this year’s festival, which will be held on Saturday, September 12.
“There will be more stalls, another parachute drop, a fundraising fun-run with colour-bombs, the availability of glamping and much more,” he said.
