In the South Burnett, well-known Kingaroy businesswoman Abigail Andersson announced on social media on Christmas Eve that she would challenge sitting Mayor Keith Campbell.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Wonderful South Burnett
Here I go – formally announcing my intention to run for mayor.
This campaign will not be very “traditional” but I hope you’ll come along for the ride anyway. You won’t see any flyers or corflutes with my head on them. Besides the obvious waste of resources I will be 100% relying on my previous work in our community (word of mouth) to gain your vote …Posted by Abigail Andersson – Community Link on Tuesday, 24 December 2019
Mrs Andersson, who unsuccessfully ran for Division 3 at the 2016 Council poll, is the second candidate to challenge Mayor Campbell.
