A 16-year-old Meringandan youth critically injured after falling from a ute near Bowenville in the early hours of January 12 has died in hospital.
Police say the teenager suffered head injuries when he fell on to bitumen at the Bowenville Reserve about 12:20am.
The ute was being driven by a 20-year-old Centenary Heights man.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
Friends have set up a GoFundMe page to assist the young man’s family.

Paramedics attended the scene of a single-vehicle rollover just after 10:00pm on Tuesday at Sandy Ridges on the Burnett Highway, north of Nanango.
Two patients were assessed at the scene scene for minor injuries but neither required transport to hospital.
