A house in Parkside Drive in Kingaroy was badly damaged by fire late on Thursday night.
Firefighters were called to the blaze just before 11:00pm to find a section of the house well alight.
Five five crews responded to the emergency, and remained on scene until about 12:30am.
A QFES spokesperson said the fire was believed to have started in the kitchen.
Paramedics remained on standby while firefighters worked to contain the fire but were not required.
Neighbours helped three children who were at home at the time to get out safely before firefighters arrived.
