Murgon emergency services joined together recently to deliver a sobering message about road safety to Year 12 students at Murgon State High School.
Officers from Murgon Police Station were joined by representatives from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service and Queensland Ambulance Service to speak to the graduating students about the Fatal Five and road safety.
Senior Constable Danielle Gordon and Constable Cameron Maddock also spoke to the students about their responsibility to themselves, the passengers in their vehicle and members of the community, and the possible legal outcomes of their actions.
QFES conducted a demonstration of their role at an accident scene and showed how the jaws of life are used to help extract people from a vehicle.
