The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Fire Weather Warning for the Wide Bay & Burnett, Darling Downs & Granite Belt and Central Highlands & Coalfields forecast districts for Tuesday (November 5).

Severe fire dangers have been forecast for these regions.

A surface trough is moving slowly eastwards across southern Queensland.

Dry and fresh west to south-westerly winds behind the trough will bring elevated fire dangers to south-eastern inland areas.

Conditions should ease after sunset as temperatures drop and winds moderate.

The Rural Fire Service has advised residents to action their Bushfire Survival Plan and monitor the Rural Fire Service website

Fire bans are in place in the South Burnett, Cherbourg, North Burnett and Gympie council areas until 11:55pm on November 8.
