An information session for applicants interested in taking part in the next Red Earth Community Leadership Program was held at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre on Thursday night.
The annual program, which was first held in 2014, aims to nurture future community leaders.
About two dozen people, including previous graduates of the course as well as people interested in undergoing the program in 2020, turned up for the evening.
Four previous graduates – Amanda Wenck (2019), Andrew Bryant (2019), Bonny Clacy (2019) and Cardell Turner (2018) – were quizzed by fellow alumni Stephanie Denman about what they had learned, and how the program had shaped their lives and careers afterwards.
Amanda and Andrew are two of the first North Burnett program participants after the course was extended in 2018 to include participants from across all the Inland Burnett.
The Community Leadership Program aims to give participants an insight into leadership styles and personality types as well as building personal and business networks to help strengthen the viability and sustainability of businesses, organisations and communities.
Applications to take part in the 2020 program close on November 8.
