UPDATE: By 5:30pm, all fire crews had left the scene. The area will be monitored over the next few days.
Earlier:
Fire crews on Wednesday afternoon were tackling multiple grass fires burning beside the Bunya Highway, near Deep Creek Road and Reedy Creek Road at Benair.
The four fires, which broke out earlier in the day, were posing no threat to properties at 2:55pm.
Firefighters were called to the incident at 2:14pm.
At 4:45pm, five units were still on the scene.
Motorists have been urged to drive with caution and watch out for firefighters in the area.
If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
