Woolworths has joined several leading charities to launch the STAND (Support Through Australian Natural Disasters) Drought Action Appeal.

Fundraising will begin this weekend in Woolworths supermarkets nationwide with customers invited to buy a limited edition $2 sunflower seed kit.

All funds raised will go directly to the STAND Drought Action Appeal and Woolworths will match every dollar raised.

There will be a limit of three sunflower seed kits per customer.

The Salvation Army, Rural Aid, Foodbank and Lifeline will benefit from the Appeal.

Customers who don’t wish to purchase a sunflower seed kit can still contribute to the appeal by making a donation at the register.

  1. I will not support Woolworth’s charity, not after what they have done to destroy the dairy farmers. I will support the drought appeal at my local bank, as you can be sure that it will all go to the appeal.
