Two days of exciting junior motorcycle racing will be happening this weekend at the Kingaroy Showgrounds when the Queensland Speedway Titles come to town.
Riders are coming from NSW as well as Rockhampton, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Laidley, Maryborough and Ipswich for the two days of racing at the Kingaroy Showgrounds motorcycle speedway track.
Fifteen riders have nominated for the Under 16 125cc Queensland Solo titles which will be raced on Saturday … the largest number in years.
The young stars who will be in action are: Lachlan Hawgood, Liam Powell, Seth Tregea, Jai Bainbridge, Jaidyn Eaton, Tate Zischke, Broc White, Jetzen Lyons, Flynn Nicol, Troy Jackson, Nathan Goman, Dane Walsh, Joshua Beetham, Blake Warrington and Noah Grabham.
Rider introductions will start at 10:00am with racing racing from 10:30am.
Racing in the 125cc Best Pairs title will start at 1:30pm.
Team 1 are Jaidyn Eaton and Liam Powell; Team 2, Troy Jackson and Seth Tregea; Team 3, Noah Grabham and Broc White; Team 4, Nathan Goman and Joshua Beetham; Team 5, Dane Walsh and Jetzen Lyons; Team 6, Flynn Nicol and Tate Zischke; and Team 7, Blake Warrington and Lachlan Hawgood
The 250cc Solos title will be raced from 10:00am on Sunday morning.
Nominations are Nathan Goman, Flynn Nicol, Tate Zischke, Dane Walsh, Blake Warrington and Joshua Beetham.
Superlites and PeeWees will run as support classes on both days.
Entry to both days of racing is free for spectators.
“We are extremely grateful to the local businesses who have come on board with support and sponsorship for this massive event especially when we are still considered such a small club,” club secretary Tracey Tunstall said.
“We have a great band of volunteers who are there for all the riders.”
