RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted a teenage girl to hospital after she was injured in a quad bike rollover on Thursday afternoon in the North Burnett.
The rescue chopper was called to a private property at Three Moon, south of Monto, just after 5:00pm.
It’s believed the young woman had been riding the quad bike up a steep hill, when it overbalanced and flipped backwards.
A LifeFlight spokesperson said the woman told rescuers the vehicle crushed her body.
She suffered suspected chest and spinal injuries.
“She’s lucky she wasn’t knocked out and that she could get reception with her mobile phone,” RACQ LifeFlight Rescue air crew officer Shayne White said.
Ambulance paramedics were at the scene when the helicopter team arrived.
The teenager was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
