Paramedics were called to a private residence in Proston on Saturday night after a teenager was bitten by a dog.

A QAS spokesperson said the emergency call came in at 7:54pm.

The youth was treated at the scene for puncture wounds to his lower legs and arms before being transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

A person was treated for smoke inhalation after emergency services were called to a house fire at Peranga in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident was reported at 12:42am.

The wooden building was gutted in the blaze.

Paramedics treated one patient at the scene for smoke inhalation who was then transported in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital.
