Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers managing director Bree Grima is the latest new face to join the Regional Development Australia Wide Bay Burnett committee.

Ms Grima is well-connected with Bundaberg’s rural industry, holding positions with the Queensland Horticulture Council, Sunwater Irrigators Advisory Committee, Coastal Burnett Groundwater Management Advisory Committee and the Local Marine Advisory Committee.

She also has Bachelor degrees in Science and Environmental Science.

She will be joining BIEDO CEO Kristy Frahm (South Burnett / North Burnett), Ed Gibson (Hervey Bay) and Tanya O’Shea (Bundaberg) – who joined the RDA WBB committee in October last year – and Georgie Somerset (South Burnett), Kerren Smith (Gympie) and Julie Williams (Gympie).

Chairman Bill Trevor was re-appointed in April 2018 by the Federal Government.

Deputy chairman Tony Nioa was appointed in April this year.

All the positions are voluntary.

The Wide Bay Burnett group is part of a national network of RDA committees set up by the Federal Government.

They aim to work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support and encourage economic development opportunities within their regions.
