Kenilworth Country Bakery founder Jenna Sanders will be the guest speaker at a free Queensland Small Business Week event being held in Murgon next Wednesday (May 29).
BIEDO has teamed up with the South Burnett, North Burnett, Cherbourg and Gympie councils as well as the Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre to co-ordinate the networking event.
BIEDO CEO Kristy Frahm the community event at Murgon Town Hall was a chance for businesses from throughout the Burnett Inland and beyond to promote themselves and connect with others.
It will run from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
“We look forward to hearing the Kenilworth Country Bakery story and Jenna’s insights into what it takes for business to taste sweet success in small rural communities,” Kristy said.
“Along with Jenna’s presentation, we will also host a number of small business owners from within the Wide Bay Burnett on a panel to gain perspectives from a range of business communities and sectors.”
Kristy said the Kenilworth Country Bakery was famous for their 1kg donut and “coffee in a donut”.
“We look forward to celebrating Queensland Small Business Week with our business community as they play such an important role in the economic and social fabric of our region,” Kristy said.
“We appreciate the commitment and hard work it takes to run a small business year round and want to acknowledge that with an event during this significant week.”
She encouraged businesses and organisations to have a free trade stand at the meet’n’greet or bring along some brochures or business cards to let everyone know about their products and services.
