After so many fatal crashes in the South Burnett region this year, it’s definitely time we all took the pledge again for road safety …

Police from Kingaroy Station are inviting the public to visit a Fatality Free Friday awareness stall which will be set up in Kingaroy Shoppingworld next Monday (May 27) from 9:00am to 11:00am.

“Come along and pledge to make our roads a safer place by signing the Fatality Free Friday vehicle,” Kingaroy officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said.

“If you are unable to attend, you can are make your pledge on the Fatality Free Friday website.

According to Queensland police, there have been 76 fatal crashes on the State’s roads so far this year.

At the same time last year there had been 90 fatal accidents.
