Nanango man Bradley Smith, who went missing from a music festival near Warwick on April 23, has been located at the Bunya Mountains.

A police spokesman said Mr Smith was safe and well with family.

The 37-year-old left the Rabbits Eat Lettuce music festival on foot and was reported missing when he failed to return home to Nanango.

An extensive search – involving police, SES volunteers and a helicopter – scoured the Elbow Valley area near where the festival was held for several days but found no trace of the man.

Earlier reports on Wednesday said Mr Smith had been seen in Legume, about 10 kilometres east of Elbow Valley but over the border in NSW.
