Are your youngsters Triple Zero aware? Do they know how to call an ambulance if there’s an emergency at home? Or the police or the fire brigade?
The Kingaroy Local Ambulance Committee (LAC) is hoping to raise awareness about Triple Zero with special displays at the Under 8s Day In The Park in Kingaroy later this month.
There’ll be a police car, ambulance and fire engine for the children to explore plus a special appearance by Axel the Ambulance.
Kingaroy LAC chairman John Box said there would also be information about “Snakes Alive”.
“Being snake aware and knowing how to respond to snake bites are important,” John said.
There’ll be flyers, fridge magnets and colouring-in books with games and puzzles for the kids.
And for the bigger “kids”, Murgon LAC members will be demostrating CPR techniques.
The Triple Zero Awareness activities will be taking place just over the bridge in Kingaroy’s Memorial Park from 9:00am to 11:30am on Wednesday, May 22.
On the other side of the bridge, there’ll be music, games and heaps of activities organised by the South Burnett Under 4s network near the playground.
There’ll also be a National Simultaneous Story Time at 11:00am.
The fun morning is totally free and everyone is invited.
