The South Burnett Eagles U18s are sitting in fourth spot on the Toowoomba Rugby League table after a decisive win against the Warwick Cowboys in Nanango last weekend.

At half-time, the visitors were ahead 6-4, but the Eagles had turned the tables by the time the full-time siren blew to take the score to 30-16.

The Round 4 TRL game was the only rugby league played in the South Burnett last weekend due to 47th Battalion trial duties and the school holidays.

A small but vocal crowd encouraged the local players on at Fred Kassulke Oval, and the Eagles responded … scoring seven tries to three.

South Burnett try scorers were Kaia Williams (2), Jakeb Mead, Tristan Sanders, Dan English, Dion Handford and Daron Bligh.  Mead kicked one goal.

The Eagles’ next game will be against Toowoomba Souths in Toowoomba on Saturday (April 27).
