A meeting will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Murgon on Thursday night to discuss the proposed introduction of a Saturday night anti-crime program in the town.

The Saturday night youth program was the main suggestion that came from a recent Town Hall meeting in Murgon called to discuss the problem of youth crime in the area.

PCYC manager, Acting Sergeant Rene Bond, said community organisations, Elders and other community members were welcome to attend the planning meeting.

It would begin at 6:00pm.

Depending on what is discussed at this meeting – and the community support available – Acting Sgt Bond said she was hopeful a Saturday night program could get under way early in Term 2.
