A 28-year-old woman has been charged after a failed attempt to steal a car in Kingaroy last Wednesday.
Police received reports about 9:30pm that a man and woman had been disturbed trying to steal a vehicle from a Markwell Street home.
The pair allegedly used garden scissors to remove a louvre from the front of the house to gain entry.
They then allegedly stole jewellery and car keys.
However, when they were disturbed outside, they ran off, leaving a bag behind at scene.
A woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with break and enter, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, contravening a requirement, failing to dispose of needle and obstructing police.
She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7.
Investigations are continuing.

On Sunday, police attended a house in Alford Street, Kingaroy, in relation to another matter and while there, allegedly located 15 cannabis plants. A 26-year-old Kingaroy woman will appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with producing a dangerous drug.

On Saturday, police attended a disturbance at 1:00am at a fast food restaurant in Youngman Street, Kingaroy. A 31-year-old Kingaroy man was issued an infringement notice for disorderly behaviour in or around a licensed premise ($783 fine).
On Sunday, police were called to a disturbance outside a hotel in Haly Street, Kingaroy. Police found five persons fighting. Infringement notices were issued to a 25-year-old Nanango man, a 21-year-old Kingaroy man, a 32-year-old Maidenwell woman, a 25-year-old Kingaroy man and a 34-year-old Kingaroy woman for disorderly behaviour ($783).

On April 1, police were called to a business in Avoca Street, Kingaroy, after a complaint of stealing. Police allege a 46-year-old Kingaroy woman had property from this business and another in Kingaroy Street. She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with two counts of shop stealing.

Police were patrol at 1:40pm last Wednesday in Glendon Street, Kingaroy, when they spotted a man riding a pushbike, who then allegedly fled form police.
He was then seen at the rear of a Haly Street hotel where he dropped the bike and ran off through the hotel however police subsequently located him in a car park of a business on Haly Street.
A search of the man allegedly located drug utensils and a mobile phone.
An 18-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with possessing tainted property, receiving tainted property, failing to dispose of a syringe, obstructing police and failing to wear a bicycle helmet.
Inquiries are continuing to locate the owner of the bicycle.

An 18-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 7 charged with possessing a knife in a public place after police spoke to him in Haly Street, Kingaroy, on April 3.

Kingaroy police responded to a variety of incidents between April 1-7 including included drug, good order, offences against the person, traffic, and property-related offences. They also attended 11 calls related to domestic violence, issued 21 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 46 roadside breath tests.
