Two power outages in the Wondai area on Saturday afternoon left about 420 Ergon Energy customers without power for several hours.
About 4:25pm, residents in the Greenview, Wilkesdale, Cushnie, Tingoora and Wondai areas lost power for just under three hours.
A second blackout, which lasted about 2.5 hours, affected residents in Wooroolin and Tingoora.
The blackouts also forced local radio station CROW-FM off the air for several hours.
“Due to damage sustained on Wednesday night’s lightning strike, we have had to cut CROW’s signal to protect systems until Ergon power resumes,” the station noted on Facebook.
