A 63-year-old truck driver from Bells Bridge will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 15 after his rig was pulled over by police on Sunday morning.

The vehicle was stopped by the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit at 7:45am while travelling along Youngman Street in Kingaroy.

Police will allege the driver was not carrying a work diary and that the prime mover, trailer and dolly were unregistered and uninsured.

Police confiscated the truck’s number plates for seven days.

A motorist heading out of Kingaroy on Haly Street on Thursday afternoon is about to receive an unpleasant surprise in the mail.

A speed camera detected the driver travelling at 104km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The driver will receive a $1218 fine, lose eight points and be disqualified from driving for six months.
