Kingaroy officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant David Tierney will be manning the barbecue again to help flood victims

Kingaroy Police have thrown their weight behind fundraising efforts for flood-affected north-west Queensland.

The station in Alford Street has joined together with community organisations to host a barbecue breakfast from 6:30am to 9:30am on March 6 to help support the Winton area.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police said a number of the current officers in Kingaroy have served in the flood-affected areas.

“All funds raised will go directly to the Winton area, where not only have a number officers served, but it is also the most northern part of the Southern Police region to which Kingaroy Police belong,” Kingaroy Officer-in-Charge Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said.

“So come along on March 6 and grab yourself a barbecue breakfast whilst helping others in the process.”

The breakfast will be held outside the Kingaroy Courthouse.
