South Burnett sporting groups will share almost $400,000 in grants from the latest rounds of the State Government’s “Get In The Game” grants programs.
In Round 7 of the “Get Playing Places and Spaces” program:
- Blackbutt Golf Club received $100,000 to upgrade their golf links irrigation system
- Cherbourg Sports Club received $103,787 to upgrade their fields to support multiple sports
- Kingaroy Senior Soccer Club received $140,800 to extend their clubhouse at Tom Alford Oval to build extra change rooms for women
In Round 7 of the “Get Goings Clubs” program:
- Kingaroy Bowls Club received $7500 to buy equipment, including bowls, and conduct a membership drive.
- Kumbia Hack and Pony Club received $7500 to conduct campdrafting clinics and buy $2700 worth of equipment, including a Smartcow
- Nanango and District Cricket Club received $4102 to buy equipment, including a ball machine to support cricket at Nanango
- South Burnett Branch Shooters Union of Qld received $7181 to buy equipment, including gun safes, rifles and pistols to support shooting at Wondai
- South Burnett Futsal Club received $4526 to buy equipment including portable goals, to support futsal in Kingaroy
- South Burnett Junior Motorcycle Club received $7500 to buy a rotary hoe to support motorcycling at Taabinga
- Widgee District Hall and Recreation Association received $2818 to buy an arena rake to support equestrian activities at Widgee
- Wondai-Proston Junior Rugby League Football Club received $7467 to buy equipment, including portable shades and laptops, and conduct first aid training
