South Burnett Regional Council road crews will carry out maintenance grades or gravel resheeting on 19 roads during January and February.
Work crews will also slash a further 19 roadsides and continue work on three major construction projects, two of which were begun late last year.
Roads portfolio chair Cr Gavin Jones told Council’s January meeting the Council’s 2018-19 road works program was making good progress.
He looked forward to continuing road network improvements in the year ahead.
Roads that will receive a maintenance grade are:
- Darley Crossing Road, Brooklands
- Walsh Road, Runnymede
- Gleneriffe Road, Runnymede
- Green Lane, Runnymede
- Runnymede Road, Runnymede
- G. Andersons Road, Cushnie
- Kintyre Road, Cushnie
- Anderson Road, South Nanango
- Currawong Drive, Wilkesdale
- Vanderlugt Road, Wilkesdale
- Giblin Road, Wilkesdale
- O’Dea Road, Wilkesdale
- Boyne River Road, Boyneside
- Red Tank Road, Boyneside
Gravel resheeting will be carried out on:
- Kawl Kawl Road, Marshlands
- Jacksons Road, Durong
- Woltmanns Road, Durong
- Paines Road, Durong
- Meiers Road, North Kingaroy
- Weens Road, North Kingaroy (shoulder resheeting)
Council’s construction crews will work on:
- Niagara Road at Boyneside – west of Bilboa Road – where crews will continue working on road formation and drainage extensions to assist construction of the Coopers Gap Wind Farm
- Concreting work on the Blackbutt drainage project, which began late last year, and
- Drainage improvements to Home Street in Nanango, where work is expected to start in late February
Council’s slashers will trim road verges on:
- Burnett Highway, north of Nanango
- Wattle Camp area (Wattle Camp, Franklin, Maguire, Brocklehurst, McNicholl and the Memerambi-Barkers Creek roads, Granite Crescent and Farr Court)
- Durong area (Chinchilla-Wondai, Stubbs-Armstrong, Woolletts, West Boondooma and Swaines roads, and Aberdeen Avenue)
- Manumbar area (Wansbeck-Manumbar and Manumbar roads)
- Burri Burra area (Burri Burra and Ironpot roads)
