Police are investigating a break-in which occurred at Murgon Swimming Pool on Sunday night.
Officer-in-charge of Murgon Police, Senior Sergeant Steven Stewart, said the offenders smashed a door about 9:30pm to gain access to the kiosk.
Alarms were triggered and it appears the would-be thieves fled empty-handed.
Snr Sgt Stewart said police had taken away several items for forensic examination and investigations were continuing.
This is the latest in a number of break-ins at the pool.
Snr Sgt Stewart said the South Burnett Regional Council had recently upgraded security at the facility.
